Dovbush Cave
Dovbush Cave is situated in the mountains not far from the road Chernivtsi-Putyla near the village Pidzakharichi (about 33 km from Putyla). It is 10 meters long, 3-6 meters high, 1-1,5 meters wide. Local people say that Oleksa Dovbush, the leader of the uprising against rich lanlords in the 18-th century, hid money and gold in the cave which he took away from rich lanlords. Legends also say that he was like Robin Good. He took away money from the landlords and gave it to poor people.
Pierced Stones
Pierced Stones is a group of rocks on the border between Putyla and Vyzhnytsya districts. The rocks are situated near the village Khorovy about 7,5 km on the south from Nimchych Pass in the watershed of two rivers Vyzhenka and Smoogariv. Rocks were formed during the weathering process. Some of these rocks have openings and passages. There are many openings and tectonic cracks between the stones.
Smoogary Waterfalls
It is a group of waterfalls of different height and power. They are situated near the village Roztoky. You can count 7 of them. They are 3-18 meters high. These waterfalls are unique because there is no place in the Carpathians where such number of waterfalls were concetrated in one place.
Rich Stone Woman
It is a gigantic rock 30 meters high which was formed during weathering process 45 million years ago in paleogene era. This rock is situated in the village Oost-Putyla near the road.
Yuriy Fedkovych Museum
Yuriy Fedkovych Museum is situated in one of the central streets of Putyla. It is a typical Hutsul wooden house. There is a bed-sitting room, a living room and a terrace. You can also see the writer's collection of original editions, national hutsul clothes, old furniture and many interesting old things.
Hutsul King Museum
The museum is situated in the tract Red Dale near the village Serhii. Lukian Kobylytsia, "hutsul king", was the leader of people's uprising against rich landlords who owned land, forests and lakes. Thousands of hutsuls got together to hear his spiritual mentor and defender Lukian Kobylytsia.
Mount Govdia
Mount Govdia is located not far from the centre of the village Ploska, 17 km from Putyla.
Cheremoshskiy National Park
National park Cheremoshskiy is one of the biggest conservation areas in Chernivtsi region. Different species of rare animals and flora remained here. There are also many drug plants.
Highland Wildlife Park
Highland Wildlife park is situated in the village Selyatyn about 25 km from Putyla. You can see Masha and Arkasha Bears, she-wolves, boars, foxesб deers, badgers, hares, hedgehogs, some birds' species like eagles and so on.
Shurdin Pass
It is one of the most amazing places of Putyla district. It is the highest pass above the sea level in Ukraine. Road Beregomet - Selyatyn goes through the pass. This road was built by Austro-Hungarians in the 19-th century.
Suchavskiy Waterfall
It is located not far from the centre of the village Shepit 32 km from Putyla. It falls on the river Suchava. It is a cascade of waterfalls 5 meters high.
Mount Tomnatyk
It is one of the most popular sights in Chernivtsi region. To get there you must drive from Putyla to Shepit and than to the village Sarata. After that you must go on foot in Yalovychora mountains. Mount Tomnatyk is 1585 meters high. The Soviet defence base was located on this mount few decades ago.
Lake Bucovinian Eye
It is situated not far from the village Lower Yalovets 1028 meters above the sea level. It is 100 meters long, 60 meters wide and 6 meters of maximal depth.
Mount Yarovytsya
It is the highest peek of Cernivtsi region. It is situated not far from the out of the way village Upper Yalovets. Yarovytsya is 1574 meters high.
